Brandon Poier:
Benny,
Unfortunately we do not, we do accept BankWire or Certified cheques.

Christine Graf:
You will have to contact one of our technology partners that process their own payments in order to make any purchases. We currently do not accept any purchases from Indonesia due to the high rate of credit card fraud coming from the region.

Thank you,

Christine Graf

What’s next, Google?

BuddhistOnline.com Raih Situs Terbaik versi KomputerAktif

BuddhistOnline.com on Komputer Aktif Magazine

Thanks! Ya, hitung-hitung sebagai kado tahun baru buat gue 😉

Why does Yahoo encourage racist groups?

Derek M. Powazek:
…The decisions you make when categorizing information can reveal your assumptions in an unspoken way. The categorization of information is a political act, and can reveal a political bias.

So what does it say about Yahoo that they list “White Pride and Racialism” at the top level of their “Cultures and Community” Groups?

I’m all for freedom of speech, but for Yahoo to create and maintain this section shows that they actively support these groups. When you’re in the community business, you learn real fast that structure creates community. The architecture you create for your community space can encourage or discourage certain kinds of behavior, based on its design, content, and placement.

For Yahoo to make this category an option, says something about the kinds of dialog they, as a community leader, encourage. And I find it shameful to see them actively supporting groups who are interested in “shaking the jewish parasite from our country” and discussing “the coming of the fourth reich.”

Not to mention the fact that this kind of discussion is already off limits according to Yahoo’s own Terms of Service, which says, quite plainly, in the very first point:

You agree to not use the Service to:
a. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;

Given these Terms of Service, how can Yahoo allow racist groups at all?
